THE WHAT? L’Oreal Canada has launched a medical aesthetic skin care brand. SkinBetter Science will join the L’Oreal Dermatological Beauty division, hails from the US and was acquired by the French beauty giant in 2022.

THE DETAILS The brand will be distributed in approximately 200 medical aesthetic clinics across Canada and via its dedicated website. The brand launches with six products, including the best-selling AlphaRet.

Geneviève Bibeau, General Manager of SkinBetter Science in Canada, explains “At SkinBetter Science, we are committed to bringing our expertise, scientific knowledge and education to support and enhance the satisfaction of physicians seeking to optimize the outcomes of aesthetic treatments for their patients.”

  • Dermal Fillers: Injectable substances used to add volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. Examples include hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm and Restylane.

  • Botulinum Toxin (Botox): Injectables that temporarily paralyze facial muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles caused by repetitive movements, such as frown lines and crow's feet.
