THE WHAT? Fenty Beauty is set to launch on the Chinese mainland. The launch coincides with Founder Rihanna’s appearance on the cover of Vogue China and was announced on the singer’s YouTube channel.

THE DETAILS The brand launched in Hong Kong, Macau and Seoul in July 2019 but its Mainland debut has lagged, presumably due to the pandemic. The brand will be sold in Sephora and, according to a report published by The Daily Mail, e-commerce platform, Weibo.

THE WHY? While sales in the world’s second largest beauty market have been subdued since the pandemic, there are signs that business is starting to pick up.
