THE WHAT? Kering has announced the appointment of Stefano Cantino as Deputy CEO of its Gucci brand, effective May 2, 2024. Cantino joins from LVMH where he oversaw communication and image at Louis Vuitton.
THE DETAILS According to a report published by Bloomberg, Cantino will report to Gucci CEO Jean-Francois Palus and the pair will share responsibility for brand strategy.
THE WHY? In an internal memo, seen by Bloomberg, Gucci said the move was geared at ‘rebuilding brand consideration, boosting desirability, enhancing quality and exclusivity of our products and experiences for our clients, with an orientation for long-term growth.”
