THE WHAT? Kering has announced that it will propose the appointment of three new independent directors to its Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting on April 25, 2024: Rachel Duan, Giovanna Melandri and Dominique D’Hinnin.
THE DETAILS Rachel Duan recently served as Senior Vice President of GE and President and CEO of GE Global Markets. Giovanna Melandri is President of Human Foundation and Dominique D’Hinnin is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euteksat Communications.
THE WHY? The proposed appointments follow the departures of Jean-Francois Palis, who is now Chairman and CEO of Gucci, Tidjane Thiam, who has resigned to better focus on his political commitments, and Emma Watson, whose term expires at the end of the next AGM.
